What is Legacy Fighting Championship?
Legacy Championship Fighting is an
elite Mixed Martial Arts Organization based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Created
by Backcrackin Promotions in late 2006, LCF is an up and coming MMA platform highlighting
some of Canada’s top Mixed Martial Artists. LCF features strong ownership and an
abundance of management experience. LCF is in an exciting state of growth and is
positioning itself to be a leader in bringing Mixed Martial Arts to the live stage.
Mixed martial arts competitions are licensed, regulated and sanctioned fighting
contests between highly trained athletes who incorporate striking, grappling, jiu-jitsu,
and other forms of mixed martial arts into their fights. To create the best entertainment
value possible, Legacy Fighting Championship promises to produce fights that bring
the best competitors together.
MMA is one of the world’s fastest growing sports. Legacy Fighting Championship wants
to do their part to bring quality MMA to Canada, North America, and the world. MMA
is not just a business for LFC, it’s our life. We truly love the sport of MMA and
we want to promote it in the best possible way by highlighting professional athletes,
providing a safe environment, and most importantly delivering an entertaining atmosphere.
Meet our Management Team:
- Scott Birkby is a successful Calgary business owner and entrepreneur. Scott is a huge
fan of mixed martial arts and saw a business opportunity in this region and seized
it with the creation of Backcrackin Promotions and Legacy Fighting Championship.
Now Scott has brought his enthusiastic business sense together with his love of
MMA to create this legacy.
- Curtis Mullin is a business professional with one of Canada’s largest Communication
Companies. A business associate of Scott Birkby since 2001, Curtis became involved
with Legacy Championship Fighting as he too is a massive MMA fan with a keen entrepreneurial
drive. Curtis brings with him a Marketing degree from Saint Mary’s University and
dedication to provide excellence in promoting, marketing, and organizing our live
events.
